During the traveling “Games of Thrones” exhibition, at its recent stop in midtown New York, fans got to take a look at the props, costumes, and even sat on a life-size replica of the Iron Throne. But one lucky fan got whole different experience from her visit as a “Games of Thrones” aficionado proposed to his longtime girlfriend on the Iron Throne!
Doesn’t that video just make you just want to go, “Awww!” TV-55’s reporter Alex Denis narrated the scene while her cameraman captured every moment. Adding suspense, Denis lowered her voice so that the couple couldn’t hear her. I’m pretty sure the boyfriend called ahead and spoke to someone. He was very lucky there wasn’t a huge crowd surrounding the replica. At least the cameraman hid in the background, because I’d be pretty nervous if a bunch of strangers were watching me propose to my girlfriend. In the back of my head, I’m probably be thinking, “What if she says, ‘No?'” or “Save yourself!” This guy sure had guts doing it this way.
Though we can’t hear what he is saying, Denis is sure the boyfriend is talking about how much he loves her. You could hear Denis actually getting all choked up during her narration!
Doesn’t it make your heart melt knowing she said “yes”? This is certainly better than a marriage proposal plastered on some jumbotron. Now the loving couple will always have something to talk about when they watch “Games of Thrones.”
